TakeFive is an Android game I built and published on Google Play back in 2014. It’s based on Renju (Gomoku), but instead of placing stones, a flying saucer (UFO) flies in and occupies the area — with missions that change at every stage.

I eventually pulled it from the store because of maintenance costs, but I still have a soft spot for the apps I made myself, and it felt a shame that it was no longer visible anywhere. So I stripped out all the platform pieces — scoreboards, in-app purchases and the like — and revived just the pure Gomoku game, its stage-by-stage missions, and the original images and sounds as a web widget. (I’ve written more about why I made the original game and what I took away from it in the TAKE FIVE dev story.)
